PHILADELPHIA — Philly has a new spot where you can have a drink outside with man’s best friend.
Craft Hall on Delaware Avenue announced a new hybrid dog park-beer garden, marking a first in the city.
The “Unleashed Bark and Beer” and “Puppy Porch” will open officially at 4 p.m. Friday at Craft Hall, 901 N. Delaware Ave.
The “Unleashed” space is more than 2,000 square feet of fenced-in space perfect for pups. It features upcycled turf reposed from Alvernia University, seating, beer garden lighting, fresh water, dog bowls, disposable bags, and more.
Beer, wine, cocktails, themed cocktails and new dog cocktails will be available for humans.
Orders will be made via QR codes, giving guests contactless experiences. Servers will then bring beverage orders to the dog park’s front gate.
As for the “Puppy Porch,” diners and dogs can get bites in the area with seating for more than 40 people.
Drinks available include brews from Mainstay Independent, a full bar including wine, liquor, cocktails.
There will also be new dog-themed cocktails and mocktails, including the Peach BARKarita and Virgin Colada and Cucumber Fresca, and non acloholic cocktails made for dogs
For four-legged companions can enjoy Barkberry (blueberry), Puppy Colada (pineapple), and the Puppy Power Smoothie (a veggie smoothie with carrots, green beans, spinach and cucumber).
All dog-friendly drinks are made with fresh fruit or vegetables, and they are blended with coconut water until smooth. All rind or seeds that may be unsafe for dogs are removed prior to blending. They are served as an 8-ounce mixture to add to the dog’s water dish. These dog cocktails will rotate each week.
Dog treats will also be available from Lost Bread Co.
All of the human and dog special cocktails will be featured on the monthly “Unleashed Yappy Hour” menu, every last Friday of the month, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. FCM Hospitality will donate $1 from each of these cocktails to a rotating dog-related charity during Yappy Hour. The charity will also be on hand with adoptable pups.
Unleashed and Puppy Porch will have identical operating hours to Craft Hall, which are Friday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Craft Hall team will return to operating Wednesday to Sunday come August.
